Opening Weekend
Kick off the winter season with a bang at Tignes' Opening Weekend! This highly anticipated event marks the official start of the ski season, drawing winter sports enthusiasts from across the globe to enjoy the resort's early snow. Opening Weekend the 23/24 November, when the resort comes alive. The glacier ensures snow sure conditions even if the snowfall is limited lower down, so you can be confident about getting on the slopes. There is also a great deal on a lift pass.
This weekend also hosts the annual Yeti Race which is an exhilarating winter obstacle course that combines physical endurance, mental grit, and plenty of fun.

Christmas
Embrace the holiday spirit with Christmas festivities in Tignes. Experience the charm of a winter wonderland fully embracing the Christmas spirit with Christmas lights galore and a wonderful Christmas tree in the centre of thee resort. On Christmas eve enjoy hot drinks on the snowfront, carol singing festive markets, and a magical Christmas Eve torchlight parade down the slopes. A perfect occasion for families and children.



New Years Eve
New Year's Eve in Tignes is a truly unforgettable experience. Before the fireworks, enjoy the traditional torchlight descent on the slopes. Local ski instructors carry flaming torches as they gracefully ski down the mountain, illuminating the slopes with a shimmering trail of light. The highlight of the New Year's celebrations in Tignes is the stunning fireworks display over the frozen lake. As midnight approaches, the sky lights up with a spectacular show of colours, creating a mesmerising backdrop against the snowy mountains. To celebrate the New Year Tignes host a massive outdoor party right on the snow. With live DJs, bars, and a dance floor, you can dance your way into the New Year. This free event is open to everyone and provides an electrifying atmosphere as the countdown to midnight begins.

Spring Break
Spring Break in Tignes means two weeks of skiing, festivities and entertainment from 26 April until 4 May. Spring Break is for everyone, so whether you're looking for one last moment in the snow with your family or a week of festivities with friends, you'll find something to suit you in Tignes. Last but not least, Spring Break is also an opportunity to get a breath of fresh air before the summer!

Mountain Shaker
From 8-14 March the Mountain Shaker in Tignes is a high-energy winter sports and music festival that combines thrilling competitions with vibrant après-ski entertainment. Held annually, this event brings together top athletes for freestyle skiing and snowboarding contests, including slopestyle and big air disciplines, where they showcase impressive tricks and skills on the snow. Alongside the sports action, the Mountain Shaker features live music performances, DJ sets, and parties, creating a lively atmosphere both on and off the slopes. It's a must-attend event for winter sports enthusiasts and music lovers seeking an exciting alpine experience in the heart of the French Alps.
