Here are our top 5 chalets that offer the most convenient location for accessing the slopes and everything else Tignes has to offer!

1. Chalet Tajj

You can't beat this location. Right on the snow front with access right onto the learning slope where all the ski schools meet in the morning. Right here you have the Toviere telecabin that takes you to the Bellevarde ski area or access to Val Claret. You also have the Palafour chair lift to access the sunny side of Tignes towards Val Claret, Les Boisses or Brevieres.

One of our favourite restaurants is right on the doorstep, Juiletta 23, which offers amazing Italian food but also a lovely spot to sit and sip cocktails in the afternoon sun.

2. Phoenix apartments

This newly refurbished apartment complex is found just off the snow-front in Le Lac. Not only do these apartments have unrivalled views of Tignes lake, they also offer an extremely convenient location. Easy access to the front des neiges with ski school meeting points, learning areas, the Toviere telecabine and Palafour chair lift.

This is also the hub of the resort where most of the shops, restaurants and activities are, so one of the best locations in Tignes.

3. Chalet Macha

Macha is located on Rue des Almes which is the most sort after area for luxury chalets. This is partly due to the fantastic location, just a few minutes from the centre of town giving a sense of tranquility but also offering easy access to the slopes. Just step out of the door and step across the road to the 'Almes' piste which gives you access to both sides of the resort via a short ski down to either Chaudannes or Paquis chairlifts.

4. Chalet Ganga

Just next to Macha, loses a couple of points because it requires about 10 more steps to the piste! Both chalets are set just above the main town offering exceptional views of the ski area, the glacier and beyond. Ski back almost to the the door and jump straight in the hot tub.

5. Chalets Monts and Merveilles

The perfect spot for families. Chalets Monts and Merveilles sit next door to each other in Tignes 1800. The chalets look out over the learning areas so you can watch your young kids in their ski lessons right from the chalet. For the more advanced, just step out onto the piste and ski down to the Telecabine which will link you to Tignes le Lac and beyond.

There also a number of shops and restaurants in 1800 within easy walking distance of the chalet.
